The Civil Air Patrol (CAP) is mandated by Congress to perform the following missions:

• Cadet Programs

• Aerospace Education

• Emergency Services

Squadron members along with other CAP volunteers perform:

• Search and Rescue: in flying more than 90% of the nation’s inland search and rescue operations every year.

• Disaster Relief: by playing a vital role in operations, providing air and ground support and other needed services in time of fire, flood, and disaster.

• Air Force Support: by performing missions in support of the U.S. Air Force: damage assessment, communications and low-altitude route surveys.

• Counter drug: by providing photo reconnaissance assistance to law enforcement agencies in the confiscation or eradication of billions of dollars of illegal drugs annually.
